Upon leaving the Navajo Refining company, Ralph was a selfemployed independent U.S. Postal Service Mail Contractor since 1972. Over the years he, with his wife by his side, maintained and acquired a number of mail contracts and grew a business that supported his family and allowed him to be one of the most giving men to his entire family. He eventually became owner and operator of his mail contracting business, Diamond T U.S. Mail Service, Inc. as a U. S. Ralph was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend. There was nothing more important to him than his family. Ralph always loved spending time with his family especially when he could get them all in one place or include all of his sisters and brother. He will be greatly missed for his great big heart of gold that was big enough that he loved deeply and gave generously to anyone that needed just about anything. Many that know him or have met him will remember him as a true friend and a great man.

Honorary pallbearers are his grandsons, Adrian Alexander Torrez and Christopher Michael Torrez granddaughters, Alicia Nicole Torrez and Ashlynn Rose Torrez great grandson, Brandon Isaiah Torrez, and all of his nieces and nephews.
