Betty had been living in Roswell for the past year, and was enjoying attending the First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading and coloring books, but loved to play dominoes, where she took particular pleasure in beating her son-in-law Ben! She was very fond of her friend and caregiver Rose Holguin.
A private memorial ceremony for Betty is being planned for the near future.
Those wishing to make a donation honoring Betty's life are encouraged to make a donation to the Hillsboro Historical Society, PO Box 461, Hillsboro, NM 88042, http://hillsboroughhistory.org for the maintenance of the Black Range Museum. The Black Range is a beautiful mountain range in New Mexico that was dear to Betty and Jay.
