Zilmer Ward Sr.

Zilmer Ray Ward Sr. passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 in Roswell.  He was born May 19, 1953 in Kermit, TX to Coy Zilmer Ward and Dorothy Davis Ward who have preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by his son Zilmer Ray Ward Jr.

Zilmer was a very loving husband, father, grandfather and a friend to anyone in need. He was a hardworking oilfield man until his last days. Zilmer had a fifty-year career in the oilfield working for X-Port Well Service as workover rig operator, Weatherford reverse unit operator and finishing steel hand, C.O.G as a workover foreman and last LH Energy as a workover foreman.

Those left to cherish his memory is loving wife Marlene Ward; children Shelby Ray Ward, Amanda Ann Ward, Timothy Dale Ward, Angel N. Zarybnicky, Heather D. Johnson, Scotty Allen Harris, Margaret E. Ward, and Lindsey D. Luna; grandchildren Celeste R. Ward, Desiree A. Ward, Jordan N. Ward, Anthony Ward, Bryana M. Ward, Aubry D. Ward, McKenzie Ward, Dylan, Andrew Katie, Brayden, Wyatt, Adalay, Jaxson, and Benjame and many great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 5:00 pm, Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Ballard Funeral Home. A private family service will be held at a later date.
