William David Moffitt
William David Moffitt was born in Fort Monroe, Virginia May 25, 1948 to William Doc and Mary Virginia Brinkley Moffitt. He passed away August 4, 2021 in the Albuquerque Veteran's Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Bill enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, August 1966 3 months after he graduated from Ysleta High School, El Paso, TX. His favorite saying was "Once a Marine always a Marine". He was a Viet Nam Veteran. He worked for State National Bank, El Paso, Texas and was an Assistant Vice President for Security National Bank later to become Sunwest Bank. He was an avid Cowboys fan.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents. He is survived by his two daughters, Tammy Lynne Casaus (Brian) and Jeanette Lynne Main both of Roswell, NM. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Krista Casaus of Roswell, Kara Sharp (Dustin) of Temple, TX, Kyla Sharp (Zachary), Kristina Casaus, Krishawna Casaus, Ryan Casaus, Kyra Casaus and Bryan Casaus all of Roswell, Brandy Main and Faith Main of Lubbock, TX, 4 great grandchildren, Kalie Sharp, Jesse Sharp, Elijah Sharp and Haydyn Sharp, 4 sisters and 2 brothers and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, September 2, 2021 at General Douglas L. McBride Veterans Cemetery.
