Graveside services for Wilda M. Brown, 86 of Roswell, will be held at South Park Cemetery on September 12, 2009 at 10:00 a.m... Wilda passed away August 19, 2009.

Wilda was born on May 10, 1923 to Frank and Grace Riggs in Cloudcroft, NM where she attended and graduated from school. She married Burton H. Brown Jr. on March 15, 1942 in Roswell. Burton preceded her in going to the Lord July 5, 1989. In addition to Burton, her parents, three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.

Wilda is survived by two sons Jimmie of Odessa, TX and David and his wife Kathy of Roswell; two granddaughters, Amelia Goroff Preston of Las Vegas, NV and Elizabeth Travis of Tulsa, OK and two great grandchildren, Carson Goroff and Ella Fulkerson: step brother L.L. Sparky Rogers of Cloudcroft and step sister Roberta Mooney of Deming. She is also survived by two step grandchildren: Jason Paddy Forrester and Shelly Billy Marling of Roswell and their families.

The family wishes to thank Kelly, Cindy and Caroline of VISTACARE in assisting to insure Mother was comfortable over the last few weeks. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Chaves County Cancer Association.
