Wayne Pilley

 Dewayne (Wayne) Leroy Pilley went to be with the Lord on January 30, 2025. Wayne was born on April 14, 1937 in Hagerman NM to Leonard and Ella Dalphne Brown Pilley. He graduated from Hagerman High School in 1956. On September 1, 1956 he married the love of his life Winone Bailey. Wayne and Winone were married for 64 years. They had 5 children Ted, Wesley, John, Buck, and Beth. Wayne loved his family and made them a priority until his passing. Wayne worked hard as a farmer, rancher and truck driver, but made time to give back to the community as a Little League coach for 10 years and serving on the Hagerman Municipal School Board for many years. Wayne and Winone spent many years square dancing all throughout the valley. Wayne was an avid bowler for many years, enjoyed playing cards and games with his family and friends, meeting the guys for coffee at Toby’s Cafe, and going to the Hagerman Joy Center. Wayne was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, a brother Jim, and sisters Louise, Wanda and LaVonne DeVaney. Wayne is survived by his sons Ted, Wesley and his wife Shauna, John and his wife Tricia, Buck and his wife Brenda, daughter Beth and her husband David, brother Terry, sister Thelma, sisters in law Anita Johnson, Cherry Mays, Becky Steman and her husband Mark, 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and many nephews, nieces, family and friends. Services for Wayne will be at 11:00 Saturday, February 8, 2025 at The First Baptist Church in Hagerman.
