Walter was born October 28, 1939 in Ft. Worth, Texas to Walter D. Taylor and Mona Mae Cox. His parents preceded him in death. He married Sonia Alicia Guerara at the Jesus Church of the Nazarene in Pasadena, California on April 24, 1981 she survives him of the family home. They lived in Roswell since 2005 coming from California.
