Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date in Roswell , NM for W.G. Bill Patton 91, who passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at Villa Del Rey. Bill was buried at Mission Garden of Memories in Clovis, NM on Saturday, June 18, 2011.

Bill was born April 6, 1920 in Clovis, NM to Burch Robean and Annie Gordon Patton. His parents preceded him in death. Bill married Bill Ward on January 22, 1946 in Artesia, NM. She preceded him in death in 2005. Also preceding him in death were his sisters Louise Hartrick and Maureen Hill Pougue.

Bill is survived by his sons Steve Patton of Melrose, NM and Gordon Patton and wife Betty of Roswell, NM and grandchildren Sara Patton of New York, Will Patton and wife Raeann of Seattle, Chance Patton of Katy, TX and Chessa Threlkeld and husband Kevin of Katy, TX.

Bill was a lifelong resident of Clovis, NM where he was active in farming and ranching in the Ranchvale and Melrose communities until the last four years which he lived in Roswell, NM. He served our country in WWII and was a Veteran of the US Army.
