Virginia Word

Virginia Louise Stout Word of Roswell, NM went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, July 13, 2015. She was 73 years old.

Virginia was born on April 4, 1942 to John D. Stout and Ellen Richmond Stout in Carlsbad, NM who both preceded her in death.

Virginia had a strong faith in God and loved her family deeply.

She is survived by her husband of fifty-three years, Odis Word. Her children Jimmy Word and wife Liz and Judy De La Rosa and husband Martin; grandchildren Clay Word, Megan De La Rosa, Jessica and Matthew Kirk; sister Kay Roberts and husband Kenneth; nephew Mark Roberts; stepfather Duff Johnson, Ann Johnson, Chad Frost and Candace Frost. Also surviving her is one aunt and numerous cousins.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2 pm, Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Bykota Baptist Church, 2106 E. Pine Lodge Road. Officiating will be Don Johnson and Tim Arlet.

The family would like to thank her caregivers for their love and support. And all of her family and friends that have visited called and prayed for her through the years.
