Veronica Cota

March 22, 1981 — November 4, 2024

Veronica Regina (Glass) Cota was born March 22, 1981, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. At five days old she was joyfully adopted by Barry and Barbara Glass. She grew up in the South Valley and attended Parochial School through the 8th grade. In her youth, Veronica played volleyball and softball. Veronica was involved in ROTC at Valley HS. She participated in 4-H, learning to sew and raise rabbits and ducks. Veronica loved traveling with her parents and sister and playing with her cat. Veronica had a beautiful voice and loved to sing; she sang the National Anthem at the baseball stadium and traveled to Scotland to sing with the Menaul School Choir. As a teenager, she worked in the concession stand at the Dukes stadium. She later attended PIMA and earned her GED and a dental certificate. As an adult, Veronica took up painting and sold some of her art. She loved growing flowers and vegetables in her garden.

Veronica remarried and embraced the role of 'bonus-mom' of Jessica; she enjoyed helping her husband John with his business endeavors. Veronica is preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

Veronica is survived by many family members: her former husband, Aaron Plomer, and their two children, Preston and Catherine Plomer, as well as by Catherine's children, Raelyn and Baby Duke; her two children, Johnathan Anthony Glass and Crymson Rose; her loving husband John Cota and their children, Jessica Cota and Leslie Palombi and Leslie's son Dean; her sister, Jerelyn Saiz, brother-in-law, Rudy Saiz and her nephew Augustine and nieces Annika and Piper. Veronica faced many challenges in her life but never stopped loving her family. She always remembered the important dates. Her family asks for masses and prayers of healing.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to her memorial fund at Ballard Funeral Home, 910 S. Main, Roswell, NM, (575)622-1121, or donations can be made in Veronica's name to the New Mexico chapter of NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness. https://namialbuquerque.org/
