Verna MacCallum

Graveside services are scheduled for 11 am, Thursday, January 12, 2012 at South Park Cemetery for Verna MacCallum 85, who passed away Sunday, January 8, 2011 at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center. Pastor Savino Sanchez of Church On The Move will be officiating.

Verna was born on May 24, 1926 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri to Myra A. Brammer. Her mother preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by husband Charles B. MacCallum, sons Wesley Leon Dunn Jr., Stephen Curtis Dunn and Larry Dean Dunn and soninlaws George Schubert and Tommy Robbins.

Verna is survived by her sons Michael Willis Dunn Sr. of Roswell and Lonnie A. Dunn and wife Sally of Roswell daughters Deborah Dunn Robbins, Connie Ann Schubert, Susan Lynn Ricard and husband Robert all of Roswell and Pamela Kay Munoz and husband Ernie of Hagerman and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Verna has lived in Roswell since 1961 coming from Tucson, Arizona. She worked as a LPN at St. Marys Hospital, Osteopathic Hospital, New Mexico Rehabilitation Center and Sunset Villa Care Center during her nursing career. Verna had a heart of gold and loved all her patients like they were a part of her family. She had an undying love for her children and grandchildren. Verna will be missed greatly by her family and all who knew her.
