Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 am, Monday, March 5, 2012 at Spanish Calvary Baptist Church, 600 E. Tilden, for Valentina Trujillo, 91, of Roswell who passed away March 2, 2012 at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center. Pastor Eugene De Los Santos will be officiating with burial to follow at South Park Cemetery.

Valentina was born May 27, 1920 in Arabella, N.M. to Procopio and Emerenciana Gustamantes. On October 11, 1940 Valentina married Mosies Trujillo in Carrizozo N.M. He preceded her in death as well as four daughters and numerous brothers and sisters.

Her survivors include sons Onorio and LeRoy Trujillo, daughters Yolanda Leyba, Maria Trujillo Torrez, and Lydia Barrera sister Teresa Martinez brother Slyvestre Gustamantes, seventeen grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren. And a special thank you to Ben Torrez, respected son in law, who conspired with gram daily to devise a routine that allowed the two of them to relax and enjoyed the passing of time.

Pall bearers will be Jimmy Andazola, Ricardo Barrera, Carlos Barrera, Ignacio Barrera, Richard Renteria, Paul Leyba Jr., and Michael Trujillo.
