Tommy Jay Sherwood

Memorial services are scheduled for 10 am, Monday, July 21, 2014 at Ballard Chapel for Tommy Jay Sherwood, 58, who passed away Monday, July 14, 2014 at Casa Maria Healthcare Center. Phillip Grassie will conduct the services. Tommy was cremated according to is wishes.

Tommy was born July 30, 1955 in Roswell, NM to Stanley Sherwood and Francis Jones Sherwood. His parents preceded him in death. Tommy is also preceded in death by his wife Ida Irene Clement Sherwood, brothers Jerry, Norman and Bobby Sherwood.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sons Ryder Sherwood of Desert Hot Springs, CA, Michael and wife Tiffany of Hagerman, NM and Joshua and wife Breanna of Roswell, NM brothers Robert Sherwood and wife Lily of El Centro, CA and Mike Sherwood of Oklahoma sisters Margaret Koatter of Roswell, NM and Mary Payne and husband Bob of Roswell, N M grandchildren Michael, Kaleb, Rheawna Sherwood and Jonah Smith. Also surviving him are his close friend Graig Tucker and wife Mary of Roswell, NM.

Tommy was a lifelong resident of Roswell and was a member of Church of Christ. He graduated from Dexter High School. Tommy enjoyed to playing dominoes and tinker with any kind of engine or machinery. He really loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren.
