Tishia Maye Paschall

Tishia Maye Paschall, 87, went to meet her Lord on March 19, 2010 at Mission Arch Care Center after enduring a brief illness. The family will receive visitors at Ballard Funeral Home on Monday, March 22, 2010 from 67 PM. Services will be held Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at 10:00 AM at First Assembly of God, corner of Country Club and Montana. Officiating ministers will be Rev. Terry Paschall, son, Rev. Robert Hill, nephew, and Pastor Melvin Suttle. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery.

Tishia was born February 11, 1923 in Roswell, NM to Joe and Doshia Raney. She married Asa George Paschall on May 14, 1940 who preceded her in death in 2008. She was blessed with six children: sons: Bennie George and wife, Cathy of Corona, NM Asa Z and wife, Judy, of Roswell, NM Terry and wife, LuLu of Bandung, Indonesia daughters: Betty Maye Housewright and husband, Claudie of Roswell, NM Tishia Loretta Throckmorton deceased and Gwen L Reed and late husband, Burton of Roswell, NM.

Tishia is survived by 18 grandchildren, 37 great grand children, and 34 greatgreat grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters, Edith Hill of Spiro, OK Ina Aldrich of Tucson, AZ Joe Annie Ramsey and husband Claude of Bryan, TX, and brother, Zeck Raney and wife, Rose of Ashfork, AZ, along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Tishia was devoted to her family and opened her heart to many others who considered her a second mother. She was a partner with her late husband for 24 years at Paschalls Automatic Transmission Service. She also served as a nursery attendant at First AG Church for 25 years where she lovingly cared for her kids.

Although Tishia was crippled from polio at a young age, she overcame those physical challenges and led a very fulfilling life. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Rick and Todd Housewright, Monty, Bennie and Eric Paschall, James Throckmorton, Asa Paschall, Jr., Burton and Jacob Reed, and Donavon and Darren Paschall.
