A rosary is scheduled for 7:00 p.m., Monday, November 26, 2007 at St. Johns Catholic Church for Tillie H. Baca, 80, of Roswell who passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center. A funeral mass is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at St. Johns Catholic Church. Fr. Juan Montoya of St. Johns Catholic Church will officiate. Tillie will lie in state at the Ballard Funeral Home and Crematory on Sunday, November 25, 2007 from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. She will be cremated according to her wishes. Following the services a burial of the ashes will take place at South Park Cemetery.

Tillie was born on August 15, 1927 in Picacho, New Mexico to Lorenzo and Clara Horton Baca. Her parents have preceded her in death as well as two sons Leroy Baca and Joe Baca Munoz; a daughter: Linda May Baca; three brothers: Charlie Baca, Ralph Baca and Pete Baca; and two sisters: Mary Renteria and Margaret Yvalles

Tillie is survived by her son: Raymond Baca and wife Victoria of Roswell, NM; her daughters: Margie Mata, Mary Christine Salcido and Ernestine Gallegos all of Roswell; her brothers: Filimon Baca, Celestino Baca, and Filemon Baca Jr. and wife Irene all of Roswell as well as 34 grandchildren and 63 great grandchildren.

Tillie has lived in Roswell for 65 years coming from the Hondo Valley. She was a housewife and was of the Catholic Faith and attended St. Johns Catholic Church.
