Thomas Rhodes

Private family services will take place at a later date for Thomas Glenver Rhodes, 90, who passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Casa Maria Healthcare Center. Thomas was cremated according to his wishes.

Thomas was born October 4, 1924 in Apache, OK to Thomas Glenver Rhodes and Cora Belle Shepard who preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by his wife Lorene Mae Wood Thomas and son Thomas Cash Rhodes.

Those left to cherish his memory are his brother Robert L. Rhodes and wife Karen of Alto, NM and grandchildren Jennifer O'Berry and husband Michael, Christopher O'Berry, David O'Berry and Danielle Speights and husband Brandon.

Thomas was a member of First Baptist Church of Roswell. His faith in God and his love of his church were most important to him. He served our country in the United States Army during WWII. Thomas worked has a supervisor for Santa Fe Railroad where he retired after forty-two years. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan and his hobby was a rock hound making gem stones for jewelry.

In lieu of flowers the family request contributions be made in Thomas's name to the New Mexico Junior College Foundation, 1 Thunderbird Circle, Hobbs, NM 88240.
