T. J. Frost
Graveside services will be held Friday, October 27, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. at South Park Cemetery for Thomas Jacob T.J. Frost, 82, who passed away October 24, 2006 at a local nursing home. T.J. suffered from complications of diabetes for many years. Officiating will be Pastor Terry Aiello of the Corona Presbyterian Church. There will also be a military graveside service conducted by the Roswell Veterans Honor Guard.
T.J. was born in Portales, NM August 4, 1924 to Eula Faye Parrish Frost and Clint B. Frost. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Norval and Norman Frost, his sisters, Dovie Perkins and Eula Faye Sweringen as well as two brother in laws, H.T. and James R. Madsen. He is survived by Betty Madsen Frost of Roswell, his two sons, Terry Jack Frost and children, Sheila and James Ortega, Elisha and Mike Skrobrok, Tracy J. and Teresa Frost, Troy Jason and fianc Corinda Fresquez, Betty Renee and Damon Graham, Thomas J. Frost II Tommy and wife, Deborah, and children Thomas J. Frost III, and Amber Marie Frost, daughter, Sharon Elaine and Joe Fromhold and children, Laurie and Millie Frost, Brittany and Samantha Fromhold. He is also survived by twenty one grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
T.J. became a part of the Madsen family at an early age and is survived by brother and sister in laws, Lula Madsen, Gerald K. Madsen, Shirley and John Sechrist, Carroll and Beth Madsen, Martha and Dwayne Dickerson, Gayle Madsen Judy Taylor, Wayne Gay Madsen, Linda and Kenneth Goins, Sandra and Gene Lee and Claire Madsen.
T.J. was in the trucking business all of his life, owning Frost Trucking Company until his retirement. He served in the United States Navy as an aircraft machinist mate third class, mostly in the South Pacific from 1943 1945. T.J. was a kind and generous man, always willing to help. He loved the large family gatherings and will be missed by all, especially during the holiday meals and picnics, which he always attended.
Honorary Pallbearers will be his grandchildren. Mr. Frost will lie in state for viewing Thursday and Friday until noon.
Arrangements are under the direction of Ballard Funeral Home and Crematory.
