Thelma Marie Moss
Mom gained her wings on Thursday, October 3, 2024, born to Elsie R. Popp and John Sherwood on September 21, 1936, in Concord, OH. She loved her family and friends. She lived her life to the fullest and raised ten children to the best of her ability. She was a hard worker and did everything with all her heart. She worked at Levi Strauss, Tabosa, Little Valley Bar and Grill and Allsups in Dexter, NM. She was at Allsups for 16 years. Everybody loved when she was working because there was always fresh coffee and fresh food in the deli. They were all greeted by her BIG BEAUTIFUL SMILE! She had a heart of GOLD, but you didn’t want to get on her bad side, she was super feisty, LOL! She was always made up so beautiful; and her hair would always have flowers in it. She loved jewelry, especially turquoise! Thelma never gave up she was a fighter until the very end! She loved all her children and taught us to be strong, stand up straight, to also have respect. Thank God, for what we had and not complain. She was an amazing loving and strong mother! No matter what she was going through. She always said she was fine not just fine, but finer than frogs’ hair and frogs don’t have hair! If we got hurt, she would say “I’ve had bigger scratches than that on my eyeball! Tough as nails but loved with all her heart. She loved her little dog “Spiffy” so much, she was always right by her side. When she was in the hospital that’s all she wanted was to be home with her little dog. Be sure to tell your loved ones how much you love them and live everyday like its your last. Life is short!
She is preceded in death by her son Pancho, her mother Elsie R. Popp, her brother Jack and granddaughter Victoria.
Those left to cherish and honor her memory are her children Phil (Frannie), Vincent, Yvonne (Nelson), Matthew, Carla, Thad (Mary), K.J., Gordon, and Lydia (Robby); grandchildren Jessica, Norman, Sarah, Kay-Leigh, Torrie, Sydney, Anila, Elaina, Damien, Joseph, Timothy, and Julie; great grandchildren Lovely, Jesse, James, Alice, Elijah, Keyara and Jaylah; great-great grandchild Kavontae.
There will be a celebration of life later.
