No services are scheduled for Thelma R. English Manley, 87, of Hagerman, New Mexico who passed away April 13, 2007, at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center.

Thelma was born November 29, 1919 to Purlin B. and Irene R. Christenson English. She married Harry A. Manley, July 31, 1938 and made their home at Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harry of 60 years, one daughter Thelma Manley, Whitler Snyder, grandson Bryon Donald Whitler , and her brother Purlin B. English.

Thelma and Harry moved to New Mexico in 1977 and made Hagerman their home. She worked full time being a homemaker an avid supporter and volunteer at the Hagerman Joy Center. She was also a member of the Methodist Church in Hagerman.

Thelma is survived by her sister, Mildred R. Williams of Delavan, Wisconsin; son, Harry B. Manley and his wife Darlene of Chana, Illinois; daughter, Roberta L. Manley Thatcher and husband George of Hagerman, New Mexico; grandchildren, Diana Thatcher Smith and her three sons Dustin, Clayton and Reese, all of Panhandle, Texas; Patricia Thatcher and her daughter Courtney of Clovis, New Mexico; Cathy Thatcher Snyder and her two children Shawn and Jennifer; David Thatcher and his wife Heather and their three children Amber, Kimberly and Bryce, all of Las Cruces, New Mexico; Nancy snyder Flores and her three children Justin, Denise and Michael of Hagerman, New Mexico; Dorothy Snyder Rivera and husband Tony and their three sons, Anthony, Matthew and Isaiah of Artesia, New Mexico; Donald Snyder and his wife Monica Prewitt of Arizona; one great-great grandson Austin David Flores, son of Justin Flores and Kristian Reveles and by numerous nieces and nephews.

It was Thelmas wishes not to have a memorial service. Instead she prefers that we remember her for the mother, grandmother and friend she was.

The family request any memorial contributions be made to the Hagerman Chaves County Joy Center, P.O. Box V, Hagerman, New Mexico 88232, in her memory.
