Terry L. Sumrow
A graveside service will be held Friday, October 3, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at South Park Cemetery, for Terry L. Sumrow, 75, of Roswell New Mexico who went home to be with the Lord on September 24, 2008 at 4:30 a.m. after a long hard battle with cancer. Randy Reeves of Washington Fellowship Church will officiate. Roswell Honor Guard will provide Military graveside rites immediately following the service.
Terry was born October 7, 1932 to James O. Sumrow and Adelene Smith; both parents preceded him in death as well as his wife Margie, two brothers Jerry Sumrow twin brother and Carmen Sumrow.
He is survived by daughter Linda Sumrow, granddaughter Chelsea Sumrow; daughter Cindy Manz; son, James Sumrow and companion Valorie Archuletta, granddaughters, Sheryl and Jayme Sumrow all of Roswell, one brother, William Sumrow of Wellsville, Ohio, and a special friend Theresa Puckett.
He was a barber for over 50 years and never met a stranger. He proudly severed our country in the Army for three years during the Korean Conflict. He always had a joke to share and was telling them until he passed.
He loved to fish, play golf and spend time with his good friends Bill, Butch, Ronnie and Donnie.
There will be a family and friends dinner at Washington Fellowship Church 1400 N. Washington at 6:00 p.m. Please bring a covered dish.
