Terrance Borovina

May 7, 1948 — September 24, 2015

A rosary is scheduled for 9 am, Thursday, October 1, 2015 at St. John's Catholic Church with a mass to follow at 10 am for Terrance Josef "Tam" Borovina, 67, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. Fr. Charlie Martinez, OFM of St. Peters Catholic Church will be officiating. Inurnment will take place following the mass at General Douglas L. McBride Veterans Columbarium with Military Honors.
"Tam" was born May 7, 1948 in Everett, WA to Johnny and Winona Borovina who preceded him death.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Mary Martinez Borovina of Roswell; sons Chris Borovina and wife Nayeli of Everett, WA and John Ross Borovina of Roswell, NM; one granddaughter Lyndsey Velasquez and three great grandchildren, Nayeli, Aliyae and Joselyn; brothers Jay Borovina and wife Suzie of Everett, WA, Tony Borovina and wife Judy of Everett, WA and sister Maria Preus and husband Mark of Everett, WA.
"Tam" served in the United States Air Force from 1970 to 1974. He retired as a Employment Support Coordinator for High Desert Family Services. He also served as Circulation Manager for the Roswell Daily Record. "Tam" came from a family of Commercial Fisherman.
Serving as pallbearers are Frank Martinez, Lloyd Martinez, Pablo Martinez, Bobby Martinez and Ernie Martinez. Honorary pallbearers are Richard Lopez, Patrick Lopez, Daniel Lopez, Leon Oliva, Jay Borovina and Tony Borovina.
Special thanks to our family for the love and support. Also Tiny Chavez, Patrick and Anita Lopez for being there for us always, Dr. Evan Nelson (friend), Dr. Break, Dr. Salli, the Kymera Staff for treating Tam so well also, thank you staff at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center ICU. Special thanks to Fr. Lalo and Fr. Charlie Martinez who visited him at the hospital.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers donation be made to the New Mexico Cancer Society, 10501 Montgomery Blvd, NE, Albuquerque, NM 87111 and or American Legion Freedom Riders, 1620 N. Montana, Roswell, NM 88201.
