Sylvia G. Schwartz

Sylvia G. Schwartz, 62 years of age, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Mission Arch Care Center, Roswell, NM.

Born November 16, 1960, to the late Silvio and Mary (Valencia) Sanchez. She graduated from West Mesa High School in 1978.

Sylvia married Willaim (Bill) Schwartz in 1984, had two children Roseann and Harry Schwartz., and moved to Roswell, NM in 1988.

Sylvia lived a high-spirited life and touched so many hearts. She loved to laugh and make others laugh, especially when they were down. Sylvia loved till the physical body could not and her spirit will continue to be with us, because she showed us how to love. She has spread her wings to embrace the Holy Spirit of our Lord and Savior and is no longer suffering. “Please, don’t cry for I am with you, rejoice in my passing.”

Sylvia was predeceased by Tomasita, Freddy, and Randy Sanchez.  She is survived by William (Bill) Schwartz, Rosanne Schwarts (daughter), and four children (grandchildren) Iseah Torrez, Rico, Mia, and Mariposa Acosta. Harry Schwartz (son) and two children (grandchildren), Alexandra Schwartz and Dominic Herring. Survived by three brothers and four sisters, Henry and Angel Sanchez and three children, Gloria Sanchez and son, Carol and Edward Sr. Tafoya and three children, Sivio Jr. and Debbie Sanchez and two sons, Anthony Sanchez, Judy and Jorge Garcia, and son, Ann (Bernadette), and Steve Candelaria five sons and one daughter. Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, November 17, 2023 at Ballard Funeral Home.
