Sybil Sutherland

Jessica Sybil Sutherland or Hannah as she was called by family and friends passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2013 after a long illness. She was a longtime resident of Roswell born in Pecos, Texas on January 27, 1924. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Sutherland, her parents Willie Lee and Elva Estelle Young and her three siblings all of Roswell.

Granna Hannah is survived by her two sons, Gary Wayne Sutherland of Austin, Texas and Craig Wayne Sutherland of Roswell, her four grandchildren Eric Sutherland, Heather Sutherland Reis, Chad Sutherland and Troy Sutherland and her 4 great grandchildren.

Sybil enjoyed bowling and when her health permitted, traveling to the National bowling competition. She loved going to yard sales in hopes of finding a treasure and enjoyed operating a second hand store in Roswell. She was particularly fond of the Red Hat Group and often ventured with group members to various locations to try their luck at a game of chance.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at South Park Cemetery.
