Susan Zumwalt

Funeral services are scheduled for 2pm, Friday, May 23, 2014 at Westminster Presbyterian Church for Susan Kay Zumwalt, 51, who passed away Monday, May 19, 2014 at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center. Rev. Randy Nolan of Westminster Presbyterian Church will be officiating. Susan will be cremated according to her wishes. A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Ballard Funeral Home.

Susan was born March 18, 1963 in Tucumcari, NM to Jerry Smith and Nelda Ramsey Smith. Her mother preceded her in death. Susan married Curtis Zumwalt on February 17, 1996 he survives her at the family home.

Also surviving her are her grandmother Leona Smith of Tucumcari, father Jerry Smith of Hobbs, NM sons Tyler Smith, Jerrid Zumwalt and Colton Zumwalt all of Roswell, NM stepchildren Daniel and Heather of Los Lunas sister Connie Gant and husband Kirt of Hobbs, NM granddaughter Savannah Smith two nieces: Raelin and Misty of Roswell and two nephews Cody of Roswell and Brandon of Albuquerque.

Susan had lived in Roswell, NM for twentyfive years and was of the Baptist faith. She worked as a bookkeeper for Dr. Patricia Davis for many years.

In lieu of flowers the family has set up a Memorial Fund under Susan Zumwalt at Bank of the Southwest, 3203 N. Main, Roswell, NM 88201.
