Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm, Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at Central Church of the Nazarene for Steven Buddy Nowak, 56, who passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2014 in Albuquerque, NM.
Pastor Randy Elftman of Central Church of the Nazarene will be officiating with burial to follow at South Park Cemetery.

Buddy was born May 21, 1958 in Roswell, NM to Steven Laurence Nowak and Janice Knoll Nowak. His father preceded him in death. Buddy married Carol Butler whom survives him at the family home in Roswell, NM. Also surviving him is his mother Janice Nowak of Roswell, NM son Steven L. BJ Nowak III of Roswell, NM daughter Shazlyn Tays and husband Todd of Alpine, TX sister Kristy Ahren grandchildren Kiernen Crane, Peyton Crane and Taylor Tays.

Buddy was a lifelong resident of Roswell. He worked as a Furniture Manager at Big Lots for many years. Buddy was also a member of the New Mexico Task Force One Search and Rescue K9 Unit. He volunteered at University High School weekly for the EMT Program. Buddy really enjoyed hunting and fishing but most of all loved doing things with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Those serving as pallbearers are Todd Tays, Steven BJ Nowak, Jim Butler, Dan Woods, Peyton Crane and Javier Gayton.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made in Buddys name to the University High School EMT Program, 25 Martin, Roswell, NM 88203.
