Steven Nowak

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 7, 2010, at the Ballard Funeral Home Chapel for Laurence Nowak, 76 who passed away August 3, 2010 in Lubbock, Tx. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery. Rev. Jim Bignell of Aldersgate United Methodist Church will officiate.
Laurence was born January 12, 1934 to Steven Leo Nowak and Irene Dalgarn in Greenfield, NM. His parents have preceded him in death and his brother John Albert Nowak.
Fiftysix years ago Laurence married Janice Knoll on October 2, 1953 in Roswell. She survives him at the family home.
Laurence is also survived by his son: Steven Buddy and wife Carol of Roswell, daughter: Kristy and husband Mike Ahrens of Albuquerque, two sisters: Lorene and husband Donald Kuykendall of Roswell and Sue and Charles Moore of Springfield, MO., five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Laurence has lived in Roswell since 1953. He graduated from Dexter High School in 1952. Laurence work for the State Engineering Office for approximately 30 years in the Ground Water Division. Laurence was also retired from the National Guard. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. He really loved to square dance and fishing.
Pallbearers will be B.J. Nowak, Billy Kuykendall, Bobby Kuykendall, Gary Kuykendall, Lane Kuykendall and John Clayman.
