A funeral service is scheduled for 10:30 am, Monday, June 8, 2015 at Gateway Church for Stephen Michael Hannon, 65 who passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2015 in Roswell. Rick Rapp of Gateway Church will be officiating with burial to follow at South Park Cemetery.
Stephen was born January 6, 1950 in Phoenix, AZ to Robert John Hannon and Geraldine Krumbach Hannon. His parents preceded him in death.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife Pamela Watts Hannon of the family home in Roswell; sons Nickolas Sing and wife Natasha of Roswell and Ethan Hannon of Roswell; daughter Minda Ryan and husband Shaun of Roswell; brother Robert Hannon of Roswell and sister Heather Hannon and Jim Gonzales of Seattle; grandchildren Gabriella Sing, Erin Sing, Laci Sing Nicky Sing, Avery Sing, Jamus Ryan and Ashlynn Ryan.
Stephen was a retired engineer for TMC and Nova Bus Company. His knowledge of engineering made it possible for him to fix anything his family and friends would bring him. After his retirement from the bus company he was in charge of the maintenance at the Briar Ridge Apartments keeping everything in order. The residents at the apartments all felt comfortable with Stephen and pleased with the excellent work that he did. Stephen also had the opportunity to later work alongside his son-in-law Shaun at MTA Tire. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeye and Miami Dolphin Football fan. He loved all kinds of sports and enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren participate. Stephen was a Godly man who loved the Lord and his family. His most joyful thing in life was being with his family especially going swimming in the summer time. He brought life and humor to everyone he knew.
Pallbearers will be Ty Carter, Shawn Wigley, Clay Whitehead, Fritz Freese, Tom Nobles, and Manny Alire.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made in Stephen's name to Gateway Scholarship Fund.
