Stella Mae Skinner
Stella Mae Skinner peacefully passed away on January 31, 2010 in Roswell, NM, where she lived most of her adult life.
Stella was born to Tom and Margie Settles Gibson in Byers, OK, on March 9, 1917. Stella is preceded in death by her loving husband, Bill Skinner, her first son, Billy, her parents and two siblings, Viola Wilson and Leroy Gibson.
Stella is survived by her son, Richard D. Skinner and wife Linda, and three grandchildren, Coy and his wife Serena of Roswell, Mike and his wife Maria Elena of Albuquerque, Donita AndrusKish of Santa Barbara, CA and five great grandchildren, Landon Andrus of Roswell, Jacob and Zane Skinner of Albuquerque, Stephen Kish of Oxnard, CA and Harley and Emily KrauseSkinner of Roswell. She is also survived by Jerry Mowat sisterinlaw of Memphis, Tennessee, Bonnie Allen Niece of Las Cruces, NM and her friend and caretaker, Oleta Eaker.
Stella was a long time member of Washington Avenue Baptist Church where she was lovingly embraced and cared for by her friends and Pastor Randy Reeves and his wife Elsie.
Services will be held at 10:30 am, Thursday, February 4, 2010 at the Ballard Funeral Home Chapel.
