Stella Ruth Sanders

Stella Sanders 89, born June 4, 1923 to Bea Carver and Lester Steelman in Paris, Texas went to Heaven on Tuesday, July 10, 2012. Stella was married to Ellis Sanders for 70 years. Stella loved all her children Helen Stitzer, Elmer Lee Mary, Ken Nina and Betty James Sanders.

Stella worked in retail for over 30 years. Her passion was going to thrift stores, garage sales, KMart, Alco and cooking.

Stella is survived by her sister Katie Tracey her children Helen Stitzer Jerry, Ken Nina and Betty James Sanders. Grandchildren Paula Erbie Fierro, Mark Mary, Brenda Sanders, Connie Stitzer, Kevin Christi, Kendra Barry Mathison ,Rick Missy Bert, Kala, Dirk Sutra Troy, Kelly Lisa Sanders great grandchildren Travis, Justin Garcia, Sarah Gomez, Nadia, Adraian Fierro, Tania Billstone, Nikki, Judson, Logan, Sarah, Emily, Michael Mathison, Addison , Cooper, Layne, Luke, KaiLynn, Kendal Ashley, T.J. Troy, J.D. John Ryan Sanders, Travis Callaway, Kevin James, Bailey, Macey Martinez, Marcus Otero, Kayla, Kendra, Kirstie and Kelsy Jones.

She is preceded in death by her husband Ellis Sanders son Elmer Lee grandson Barry Lee granddaughter Karen Stitzer mother Bea Ingram Ball father Lester Steelman brothers Harvey, Bill Steelman sisters Odel Steelman, Jo Ann and Dorothy Roper.

Special thanks to Dr. Amna Feroze, Jodi Skates, Dr. Renteria, Dr. Jinnah, Dr. Henry, Dr. Sidd, Vista Hospice, Shirley, Diane, Chris, CNAs Therapist Luchie, Marie, Rich, Kim, Kelly nurse Mary Bell, Frank and Minnie Sosa. Everyone who treated mom like she was their mom, Larry Stiles, Ballard Funeral Home, Chaplains, Garth Hyde and Cecil Kimberlin.

Graveside services are scheduled for 10 am Saturday, July 14, 2012 at South Park Cemetery with Chaplain Cecil Kimberlin officiating.
