Shirley Glen Dunnahoo

Shirley Glen Dunnahoo was born September 20, 1936, in Ringley, Oklahoma, to Roy Frie and Mary Pearl Lee Frie. She was raised by her beloved papa C.A. McDonald they all have preceded her into Gods hands. Shirley married Rufe J. Dunnahoo, February 2, 1954. He preceded her to Gods home.

She is survived by sons Rufe Dunnahoo and wife Lucinda, Sam Dunnahoo, John Bass Dunnahoo, Robert Dunnahoo and wife Reagan, Tom Dunnahoo and wife Alicia and John Robertson, daughters; Nancy Dunnahoo and fianc Uriel Brown, Mary Dunnahoo, Michelle Dunnahoo, brothers; Roy, Allen, Marion, and Johnny Frie sisters; Geneva Lee and Anna Ruth and their spouses, 23 grandkids and 5 great-grandkids, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and one special cousin who was like a sister Joan Miller, Rod, Kay and family.

Shirley went to school and was raised in Roswell. In 1968. She and her family moved to Hagerman, New Mexico where she lived until the time of her death. She worked 20 years for Levi Strause where she was 180 operator, she was sent to L.A. for the 1984 Olympics to represent Levi Strause. She always loved her many friends and coworkers. She was a member of the Presidents Club where she participated in many charitable events. She was a member of Hagerman Methodist Church and the Hagerman community. She was a lifetime member of the Bobcats where all her children played, and still has grandchildren and great-grandchildren playing and attending Hagerman High School. She loved being a business owner in Hagerman where she owned and operated Tobys Caf for 16 years until the time of her illness in 2004. She loved visiting with her customers and serving the community. Always preparing the customers order to their specifications. She loved children and always had her house full of her childrens friends. She was known to many as Grandma Shirley.

Shirley was an awesome woman never met a stranger. Her joy of life and sense of humor along with her great faith in God was obvious to all.

Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at the United Methodist Church of Hagerman New Mexico. Pastor Ron Moon of the Hagerman Methodist Church and Pastor Ruben Rodriguez of Church on the Move will officiate the service. Cremation has taken place per Shirleys request.
