Scot David McKay

Scot McKay, son, husband, father, uncle, and friend passed away suddenly in his home on January 3, 2021 in Artesia New Mexico. He was born the third child of Carolyn Sanders and Robert Douglas McKay, December 15, 1963 in Manchester New Hampshire.

He was raised in Manchester.  After he graduated from high school, he married Donna Parizo and they had three children.  He enjoyed making sure everyone had a good time in what ever situation he found himself.  He enjoyed cooking for others and seeing their reactions to the food he prepared. If the Boy Scouts knew he was cooking they would be sure to come to the camp out.  He was a jack of all trades. Worked multiple jobs throughout his life including owning several businesses, however, he always made time for his family. He was a great storyteller. He lived in New Hampshire, Georgia and the last eight years in Artesia, NM.  He touched the lives of everyone he met. He enjoyed his childhood friends Chuck Maloney and Steven Berthiaume all the way through his life’s journey.

He was survived by: His wife Donna McKay, his daughters Angela and Vicki McKay, son David McKay, a sister Donna McKay Farley, uncle Charles Scontras and several nieces and nephews. We will all miss him very much.

Preceded in death by:  Father, Mother and Brother Robert Douglas McKay II.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Monday, January 11, 2021 at Ballard Funeral Home, 910 S. Main St., Roswell, NM. Graveside Service is planned for Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at 11:00 am at Woodbine Cemetery 201 East Hermosa Drive, Artesia, New Mexico.
