Samuel Brady Lucero III
A rosary is scheduled for 7:00 p.m., Friday, October 23, 2009 at St. Johns Catholic Church for Samuel Brady Lucero III, 74 of Roswell who passed away October 21, 2009. A funeral mass is scheduled for 10:00, Saturday, October 24, 2009 at St. Johns Catholic Church. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery. The Roswell Veterans honor guard will conduct a military graveside service. The family will be receiving family and friends at 1508 S. Pecos before the services.
Samuel was born on April 30, 1935 to Samuel B. Lucero Jr. and Celia Brady Lucero. His mother survives him in Roswell.
Samuel married Loretta Flores on October 9, 1965 in Dexter, NM. His wife survives him at the family home.
Samuel is also survived by his sons: Larry S. Lucero of Albuquerque, NM, Jerry P. Lucero of Roswell and Alex M. Lucero and wife Claudia of Roswell; his daughter: Cotelia Ramirez of Mesa, AZ; his brother Raul J. Lucero of Roswell; his sisters: Jo Sedillo and husband Monroe of Roswell, Virgie Richardson and husband Gilbert of Roswell, Allene Chaves and husband Bobby and Dinah Cavanaugh of Phoenix, AZ; as well as three grandchildren: Thomas, Annamarie and Tristen
Samuel was preceded in death by his father Samuel B. Lucero Jr, a daughter Anna Marie Lucero and a brother Jerry Lucero.
Samuel is a life long resident of Roswell. He served his country in United States Marine Corp. during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. He was a member of St. Johns Catholic Church, Active in the Veterans Honor Guard and VFW 2575 Trustee.
