Sam A. Moorhead

Sam A. Moorhead passed away August 10, 2011 in Roswell, NM. He was born in Texico, NM on May 23, 1925, to Robert Vernon Moorhead and Georgia Ethel Lasswell. He is survived by his wife, Christine Moorhead sons Sam E. Moorhead and wife Carol Ann and Jerry L. Moorhead and wife Jamie daughter Sandra C. Chrissie Moorhead and husband Jerry Jeram sister Tuffy Jacobs grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and two brothers. Sam was a lifelong cattle rancher and was involved in many agricultural organizations, banking and politics during his lifetime.

A private family service will be held at a later date. Friends are encouraged to send memorials to a charity of their choice.
