Ruth Gilbert

Ruth Gilbert, 87 passed away Sunday, November 17, 2013 at her home in Roswell with her family at her side to celebrate her life.
Ruth was born December 17, 1925 in Montesano, WA to Daniel Clark and Ruth Gould. Her parents and 5 siblings and motherinlaw Vera Gilbert preceded her in death. Ruth married Everett H. Gilbert March 10, 1946 in Santa Rosa, CA he survives her at the family home in Roswell, NM. Ruth is also survived by her son Michael Gilbert and wife Gail of San Antonio, TX, daughter Cynthia J. Serrano and husband Bob of Roswell, NM grandchildren Maegan McWhorter and husband Michael Christopher Gilbert and wife Amy and Brandon Gilbert and wife Shana and her great grandchildren, Jacob and Kaityn Tellez, Kayden, Grace and Olivia McWhorter.
Ruth and her husband Everett retired to Roswell from Dover, New Hampshire, in 1985. She loved her family, New Mexico blue skies, sunshine and the Native American Culture. Ruth also loved reading, swimming laps and long distant bike riding with her husband. Her family will remember and love her forever.
