No services are scheduled for Ruth Eimer, 95, who passed away on Monday, February 3, 2014 at Casa Maria Health Care Center. She was cremated according to her wishes.
Ruth was born on November 16, 1918 in Nanticoke, PA to Edward Samuel Carl and Elizabeth Bella Harris Carl. Esther Carl Cooper, Edward Lewis Carl, Mary Carl Prosch, her siblings all preceded her in death.
She was married to LaVerne Mallory Eimer on January 12, 1944 at the Methodist Church in Carbondale, PA. Judith Maribeth Eimer Burroughs and James LaVerne Eimer are their beloved children. Both father and daughter have crossed over.
Ruth was graduated from Natt Terrace in Schenectady, NY and entered Bellevue Hospital School of Nursing in New York City. She spent 2 years in Glenridge Sanatorium with tuberculosis.
The family moved from Schenectady, NY to Tucson, AZ, then to Los Alamos, NM, then Ft. Collins, CO and retired in Roswell, NM where she had many cherished friends. She was a substitute teacher in Los Alamos for thirteen years, K12. In Ft. Collins she volunteered at St. Luke Thrift Shop and as a member of the Red Cross worked the Big Thompson flood. In Roswell she volunteered at St. Marys Thrift Shop and was in charge many years. She was an elder in Westminster Presbyterian Church and held all offices in the United Presbyterian Women. She tried to live her faith.
