Rumalda Green

Rumalda Green went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at her home in Hagerman, NM. She was 76 years old. Rumalda (Rummy) was born in Redford, Texas to Elias and Nicolasa Martinez.

She was a beloved wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Calixto Martinez; sister Delfina Martinez; first husband, Ramon Saenz, and stepson Troy Green.

Rummy attended school in Hagerman, NM and spent 13 years as a bus driver for the school district. She taught English as a Second Language to community residents for over 10 years. She worked over 32 years at Valley Grocery, her brother's store. She was loved very much in her community. Rummy also served as a rescindere judge in elections in Hagerman NM.

Rummy is survived by her husband, Ralph Green; son Ramon (Betty) Saenz, Jr; stepson Allen (Elsje) Green; grandchildren Arron Saenz and Rayanna Rey; great grandchildren Isaiah Saenz and Adriana Rey; step grandchildren Luke, Lisa, Katie and Acqtai Green; step great grandchildren Ender and Anime Green. She also leaves behind her sister Delfina Stefhon; brother Ricardo (Liz) Martinez; sister-in-law Viola Martinez and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rummy fought a long, hard battle with Alzheimer's disease and was able to die peacefully in her home tended by her loving husband, Ralph Green and sister Delfina Stefhon. Condolences may be sent to P.O. Box 107, Hagerman, NM.
