Roy G. Brady

A rosary is scheduled for 7:00p.m., Sunday, September 13, 2009 at St. Johns Catholic Church for Roy G. Brady, 89 of Roswell who passed away September 10, 2009 at a local care center. A funeral mass is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 14, 2009 at St. Johns Catholic Church. Fr. Juan Montoya, O.F.M of St. Johns Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends and family at the residence of Rosalie and Dennis Quish, 10 N. Sky Loop. BR Roy was born on May 2, 1920 in Roswell, NM to Primitivo Brady and Josephita Guiterrez Brady. His parents have preceded him in death as well as his brothers Mike Brady, Orlando Brady, Promitivo Brady, Irwin Brady and Bonney Brady, his grandchildren Raoul Otero Jr. and Brian Quish.

Roy is survived by his companion: Helen Sager; his sons: Louis Brady and his wife Annie, Roy Andrew Brady and his wife Chris, Lawrence Brady and his wife Dilly, Joseph Allen Brady and his wife Nadine and James Brady; his daughters: Rosalie Quish and her husband Dennis, Judy Otero and her husband Raoul, Sandra Chaves and Jennifer Brady; his sister: Celia Lucero; 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Roy was a life long resident of Roswell and worked for Sears and Roebuck for thirty years before retiring. He was a member of the Cursillo Group at St. Johns in edition he was also a member of the St. Johns Choir and the St. Johns Band. He loved to play pool at the adult center; he also enjoyed rebuilding antique cars; and liked to go fishing in his younger days. He was an excellent musician and loved to play his saxophone.

Pallbearers will be Louis Brady, Roy A. Brady, Lawrence Brady, Allen Brady, James Brady and Raoul Otero. Honorary Pallbearers will be the grandchildren.
