Rosario Quezada

Rosario Solis Quezada, age 61, passed peacefully at her home in Roswell, NM, on January 9, 2025 surrounded by family. 

Rosario's life began on December 29, 1963, in Aldama, Chihuahua, Mexico, to her mother, Teodora Rubio, moving to the U.S. and later settling in Roswell, NM, with her husband, Jesus Manuel Quezada.

Rosario is remembered as a loving wife, sister, grandma, "tia- grandma," aunt, and mother. She was known to many as a second mother, a fighter, and one of the strongest women known to many. Rosario had the biggest heart, making anyone lucky enough to meet her feel special. Whether it was scolding you or just being a listening ear, she always made you feel loved. 

Rosario is now celebrating life without pain with her mother, Teodora Rubio; her older sister, Lourdes Solis; her younger sisters, Gabriela Solis and Sylvia Solis; and her beloved daughter, Karla Quezada.

She leaves behind a life of strength and love carried on by her surviving husband, Jesus Manuel Quezada; sons Ulysses Solis, Ivan Jesus Solis Quezada, and wife Sandra Ortiz; and Athan Quezada.

She is also survived by her sisters Nelly Gomez and her husband Mario, Cecy Solis, and Alma Solis and husband Richard Kennemer. 

Her memory will live on through her grandkids Eric Solis, Eden Solis, Evelyn Solis, and Emma Solis. As well as through her chiquirrines Julian Zayd Vela and Ian Gabriel Vela.

As her niece would say, "Queen of my heart," you will truly be missed.

Services for Rosario will be held at St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Friona, TX, at 11:00 am, Saturday, January 18, 2025 with burial services following.
