Ronald Glenn Taylor
November 1, 1953 – March 31,2025
Angels came and took Ron, to be with Jesus in Heaven on Monday, March 31, 2025. Ron was born to his father, Buford Taylor and his mother, Dorris Taylor, on November 1, 1953, in Austin, Texas.
Ron moved to Roswell, New Mexico with his family in 1961. He graduated from Roswell High School in 1973 before enrolling to college at both New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology and New Mexico State University. Ron received two Bachelor of Arts Degrees, one in Chemistry, and one in Psychology.
Ron worked at Denny’s in Las Cruces, New Mexico for seven years as a cook before he enlisted with the U.S. Army Veterinary Corporation as a Food Inspection Specialist. He was honorably discharged. Following, he moved back to Roswell and worked for a short time at Transportation Manufacturing Corporation, as an Assembler. He was then hired by NM Correctional Center, as a Cook/Kitchen Manager. Ron was sought after and quickly hired by the NMED to be a Food Specialist, where he worked for 28 years teaching food safety, performing inspections of facilities, as well as food borne disease infestations. He received a Group Recognition Award for working on an outbreak of botulism toxin in canned chili sauce from the Food and Drug Administration.
Ron was preceded in death by his father Buford Taylor, mother Doris Taylor, brother Jimmy and Aunt Nettey.
He is survived by his wife Marie Taylor of Roswell, NM; Sons Antony-Frank of Arkansas and Lloyd Tozier of Socorro NM; Daughter Edrice Tozier of Roswell, NM; Brother Mike Taylor of Roswell, NM; And two grandchildren Ada and Emily Tozier.
