Ronald Stratton Corn

A graveside service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 18, 2009 at South Park Cemetery for Ronald Stratton Corn, 70, of Lubbock, TX who passed away, Monday, September 14, 2009. Rev. Danny Sons of Midway Assembly of God will officiate. The family will receive friends and family at Ballard Funeral Home, Thursday, September 17, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m..

Ronald was born on August 3, 1939 in Roswell, NM to Ronald Corn and Billie Stratton Corn. His parents have preceded him in death.

Ronald married Dorothy Sumner on December 31, 1961 in Roswell. She survives him.

Ronald is also survived by his daughters: Elizabeth Holser of Dallas, TX and Rosalyn Berry and her husband Tim of Wichita Falls, TX; his brother: Jon Corn of Roswell and his granddaughters: Meredith Holser and Ashlyn Berry.

Ronald graduated Roswell High School in 1957; he also attended and graduated New Mexico State University in 1968. He moved to Lubbock, TX and has lived there the last 30 years and worked in Insurance Sales. His proudest moments were having his two daughters graduate from college. Ronald was a very family oriented person and appreciated his family roots and early ranching life. He was a life long member of the First Christian Church of Roswell.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Berry, Mike Corn, Brandon Berry and Lonnie Hergert.
