Roman Kimbrell
Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed from this life peacefully in Roswell on December 2nd, 2008, only to brighten up another place more perfect and
ine.
Roman Kimbrell was born October 29, 1930, to Manual Sr. Kimbrell and Petra Maes in San Patricio, New Mexico, both deceased. Manuel Kimbrell II, a brother and Benjamin Kimbrell, a brother both preceded him in death.
Roman and Rufina were married in 1953 in Hagerman, New Mexico. She survives him at the family home. Roman is also survived by his sisters, Mary Brown from Oklahoma; Dome Florez from Arizona and Virginia Kajikawa from California; his sons: Raymond Kimbrell and wife Gracie; Fred Kimbrell and wife Tanya; Steve Kimbrell and wife Doris from Dallas, Texas; his daughter Mary Garcia and husband Rogelio from Dexter, 10 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
Roman served in the Army from 1947 to 1951. He worked in the Agricultural Field until his retirement. He enjoyed working on his land with his cattle and animals.
A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 4th, 2008 at the Dexter Immaculate Conception Church in Dexter. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 5, 2008. Deacon Jesus Herrera will officiate. Burial will follow at the Hagerman Cemetery in Hagerman, New Mexico.
Pallbearers will be Nathan Kimbrell, Anthony Garcia, Tony Serrano, Andy Trujillo, Joe Chavez and Frank Sandoval.
Honorary pallbearers will be Rogelio Garcia, Ray Sanchez, Lasarito Guevara and Gus Sotelo.
