Rogelio Garcia

A rosary is scheduled for 6:00 P.M., Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Parish in Dexter for Rogelio Garcia who passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center. A funeral mass will be celebrated by Deacon Herrera of Immaculate Conception Parish on Friday, January 31, 2014 at 10:00 A.M., interment will follow at Hagerman, Cemetery.

Rogelio was born December 31, 1957 in Guadalajara, Mexico to Antonio and Carmen Garcia his father preceded him in death.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother Carmen Garcia, his wife Mary Garcia of 36 years, his sons Anthony and his wife Erica from Dallas, Texas and their children: Sumayah, Amerah and Christopher. Daughter Monica and her husband Tony Serrano of Roswell, New Mexico and their children Esaiah and Tony. His three brothers and one sister also survive him.

Rogelio resided in Dexter for 45 years, he was of the Catholic faith, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an avid 49er and Lakers fan. Rogelio was a hard worker and took extra care of his family, he loved his grandkids, spending time and vacationing with his family. Rogelio enjoyed meal time he wanted the family together at meal time.

Serving as pallbearers are Raymond Kimbrell, Fred Kimbrell, Steve Kimbrell, Ben Serrano, Ray Serrano and Juan Ortiz. Honorary pallbearers will be all the grandchildren.
