Robert Zamora

Robert F. Zamora passed away Saturday, August 29, 2015 at the age of 75. He was born to Pablo and Stella Trujillo Zamora on May 14, 1940 in Fort Stanton, NM. On June 3, 1967 he was married with Elida Brito. After returning to his native New Mexico from Texas where was raised, he lived in Roswell until his passing. He worked at Glover Packing Company, TMC and Nova Bus until his retirement. Robert loved to camp, fish and play canasta and dominos.

Preceding Robert in death was his son Robert Anthony Zamora; his parents and his brothers Pablo, Danois, Joseph (Willie) and Benjamin; brothers-in-law Phil Griego, Leo Herrera, Abraham Chaves and Joe Brito. Also preceding him in death were his father-in-law Mauricio Brito and mother-in-law Beatriz Brito.

Surviving him is his wife Elida and four sisters, Arsenia Griego of Lochbuie, CO, Emma Jean Herrera of San Patricio, NM, Frances Chaves of Hondo, NM and Pauline Zamora of Capitan, NM, along with brothers-in-law Hector Brito and Stewart (Bud) Jones and sisters-in-law Nellie Fields, Martha Ramirez, Gloria Brito and Nadine Jones. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews from Texas, Arizona, California, Washington State, Colorado, and New Mexico.

A rosary is scheduled for 9 am, Thursday, September 3, 2015 at St. John's Catholic Church followed by a Mass of Christian Burial. Inurnment of Robert's cremains will be held at 10 am, Saturday, September 5, 2015 at South Park Cemetery.
