Robert Mason

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:30 am, Friday, November 21, 2014 at Ballard Chapel for Robert Lee Mason, 58, who passed away Sunday, November 16, 2014 surrounded by his loved ones. Father Dale Plummer of St. Andrews Episcopal Church will officiate. Burial will follow at McBride Veterans Cemetery with Roswell Veterans Honor Guard conducting military graveside services. A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 11:30 on Friday, November 21, 2014 before the service.

Robert was born October 29, 1956 in Illinois to Loy Eugene Mason and Anna Belle Harmon Mason. His father preceded him in death.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Peggy EnokianMason of Roswell, NM mother Anna Mason of Monett, MO son Justin Mason and wife Crystal of Braidwood, IL daughter Jennifer Garcia and husband Manuel of Roswell, NM stepdaughter Amy Barrientos and husband Hector of Monett, MO brother Richard Mason of Monett, MO grandchildren Ariel Garcia, Athena Garcia, Gabriel Barrientos, Samantha Mansfield and Brandon Panico. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

Robert had lived in Roswell for the past year and a half coming from Jolliet, IL. He was a truck driver for many years with Teamster where he was a member of the Union. Robert was well known by the CB handle as The Pink Panther. He was a member of the American Legion in Illinois. Robert collected toy tractors, cars and trucks featured in the Toy Farmer Magazine.
