Robert Lee Dickinson

A funeral service is scheduled for 1:30 p.m., Monday, November 16, 2009 at the Ballard Funeral Home Chapel for Robert Lee Dickinson, 81, of Roswell who passed away November 9, 2009 at his home. Jerry Chapman of Roswell Christian Church will officiate. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery.

Robert was born on November 16, 1927 in Jumbo, Oklahoma to William Henry Dickinson and Rosa Lee Reed Dickinson. His parents have preceded him in death as well as his brothers; Jim Burton Dickinson, Albert Merrill Dickinson and Charles Edgar Dickinson; a son in law: Harvey M. Flores; and a great grandson: Layton Wayne Sentell..

Robert married Mary Joyce Puckett on December 2, 1948 in Pecos, Texas. His wife survives him at the family home.

Robert is also survived by his sons: Albert LaMont Palmer of Midwest, WY, Robert Eldon Dickinson and his wife Sandra of Lucerne Valle, CA and Charles Burton Dickinson of Roswell; his daughters: Stella Chapman and her husband Jerry of Roswell and Mary Flores of Roswell; his sisters: Della Matthews and Stella LaRocque both of El Reno, OK and Bonnie Kidd of Jay, OK; his grandchildren: Monte Palmer, Sissy Palmer, Ricky Palmer, Jennifer Palmer, Robert Lee Dickinson, Kimberly Dickinson, Katherine Dickinson, Gerald William Sentell, Geneva Lyn Clements, Rebecca Clements, Ronald G. Kidd Jr., Kristy Velasco, Ranee Kidd and Angela Dickinson; as well as numerous great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.

Robert has lived in Roswell for over 70 years and worked as a Truck Driver.

Pallbearers will be Albert Palmer, Robert Eldon Dickinson, Charles Dickinson, Ronald Kidd, Gerald Sentell, Dion Sentell, Daniel Clements, Rick Velasco Sr., Rick Velasco Jr., Andrew Sentell, Joshua Clements and Justin Clements.
