Robelee Jane Spillers

A memorial service will be held10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 20, 2008 at the Adult Center for Robelee Jane Spillers, 67 of Roswell who passed away December 12, 2008 at her home. Robelee was cremated according to her wishes.

Robelee was born on October 7, 1941 in Carlsbad, California to Guy and Velma Keene. She attended all of her years of elementary school in Carlsbad, California with the exception of one year she went to school in Oklahoma and Arkansas. She went to High school at Oceanside Carlsbad High and graduated from newly separated Carlsbad High. Soon after graduation Robbie moved to Ft. Hood, TX to stay with her sister. Where she met George Spillers who was stationed there, they married six weeks later.

Two weeks before George was honorably discharged from the army they had their eldest son, Eddie. They then moved to California after George was discharged and lived their for 32 years and had two other children Gay Lynn and Devin.

Robelee spent many hours with little league in California giving her time and effort for 22 years. She also served on the Auxiliary for many years, and was also a member of the Eagles. Robelee loved being around people and helping others, she also loved to dance and play pool

Robelee worked as a book-keeper for a trucking company in Valley Center, California and also at ABF Freight Lines in Roswell.

Robbie leaves behind her husband George of Roswell, son Eddie of Wildamar, California, Daughter Gay Lynn of Oklahoma City and Son Devin of Vista California, as well as many friends from the Eagles, Roswell Adult Center and Senior Center.
