Ricky Gene Griego

A rosary is scheduled for 7:00 p.m., Sunday, November 23, 2008 at Assumption Catholic Church for Ricky Gene Griego, 53 of Roswell who passed away November 20, 2008 at his home. A funeral mass is scheduled for 12:10 p.m., Monday, November 24, 2008 at Assumption Catholic Church. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery.

Ricky was born on April 2, 1955 in Roswell, New Mexico to Benny Giron and Georgia Griego. He was preceded him in death by his parents, and grandparents Candelario and Jesusita Griego.

Ricky was married on November 13, 2008 to Jennifer Brady Griego in Roswell, NM. She survives him at the family home.

Ricky is also survived by his son: Staff Sgt. Jason Griego and wife Courtney stationed at Marine Corp Air Station, Cherry Point, North Carolina, one grandson, Ilya Griego and step-father Lloyd Martinez.

Ricky was raised by his grandparents Candelario and Jesusita Griego. He has worked for Cable One for 25 years. He was a member of Assumption Catholic Church. Ricky loved his dogs Smokey and Baxter. He enjoyed hunting with his friends and caring for his vehicles. He was known to his friends as Funky.

He went to be with the lord surrounded by his family and friends.

The family would like to thank Glynn and the Vista Care Staff for the care and compassion given to Rick and Cable One for your support and generosity.

Pallbearers will be Allen Brady, Lawrence Brady, Richard Duran, Arthur Torrez, Tony Garcia and Greg Russell. Honorary Pallbearers will be Louis Brady, Rod Miller, Lorenzo Chavez, Dennis Quish, Andrew Brady, James Brady, Raoul Otero, and Charles Hernandez.
