Richard Clyde Petty

A memorial service will be held on October 9, 2006 at 11:00 a.m.

at La Gracia De Jesus Cristo Church at 310 N. Garden and Fourth

Street, with Pastor Tommy Tombo Lujan Officiating for

Richard Clyde Petty, 46 of Roswell, who passed away on October

6, 2006 at his residence. Richard was born on June 8,1960 in

Roswell to, William Woodrow Petty, and Frances Flores. His father

precedes him in death. On March 27, 1979 Richard married Debbie

Salazar she survives him at the family home in Colorado Springs,

Co. Richard was self employed in the auto paint industry. He was

a kind and loving man and will be missed by all who knew and

loved him. Survivors include his wife Debbie Salazar Petty, his

children April Suzanne Meraz of Albuquerque, Audrey Rose Petty

of Colorado Springs, and Sarah Nicole Petty of Denver Co.; five

grandchildren, Daniel Pina Petty , Rubi Angelina Meraz, Hector

Sanchez Jr., Jazmine Marie Meraz, and Alexis Mariah Petty, his

stepfather Francisco Medina, his mother Frances Flores Medina,

his grandmother Magdelina Flores, two Brothers Joe Petty of

Roswell, and Juan Antonio Medina, and his wife Elizabeth, of

Denver. He is also survived by three nieces, BreAnn Petty,

Maree Marie Petty, and Kiya Melinda Medina. There will be a

burial of the cremains at South Park Cemetery immediately

following the service. After burial friends and family will gather at

fellowship hall at La Gracia De Jesus Cristo Church.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ballard

Funeral Home and Crematory.
