A rosary is scheduled for 7 pm, Sunday, April 22, 2012 at St. Peters Catholic Church for Richard E. Lucero, 58, who passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2012 In Roswell. A mass is scheduled for 2 pm, Monday, April 23, 2012 also at St. Peters Catholic Church with Father Charlie Martinez officiating. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery.

Richard was born May 16, 1953 in Roswell to Elon and Lupe Lucero. His mother preceded him in death. Richard lived in Roswell his entire life and retired from Xcel Energy. He married Ann on December 1, 1973, who survives him at the family home. He was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church

He is survived by his wife Ann Gonzales of Roswell his father Elon Lucero of Roswell sons Jason Lucero of Roswell, Eric Lucero and wife Angela of Sacramento, CA daughter Jennifer Nunez and husband Antonio of Roswell sisters Gloria Montoya and husband Joe of Roswell and Dorothy Irion of Ruidoso, NM. His granddaughters who were his pride and joy, Samantha Chavez, Serena Nunez, and Maya Lucero and numerous nieces and nephews.
