Richard Alan Green, lovingly known as Rick, born in Crossett, Arkansas, November 23, 1965, passed away peacefully at the age of 52 on Thursday, November 23, 2017.
Richard lived in the Chaves County area off and on for 30 years. Rick went to school at Pinellas Park High School in Florida and immediately joined the military serving in the U.S. Army for 10 years, he was an overseas contractor, truck driver, security guard, and mechanic. Rick was skilled in many areas.
He was preceded in death by his Great Grandmother Effie McGuire, and both maternal and paternal Grandparents Glen and Marjorie Karmann, and Ed and Margie Green; his mother Jacqueline Wegener Karmann Green; and two of his Uncles, Joseph and James Karmann.
He is survived by his Angel, Lorraine Peach; Dad, John Green; ex-wife, Angelika, two sons, Joshua and Matthew; two brothers and two sisters, Robert, Delores, Steven, and Rebecca, and numerous other family members.
Rick was a person who loved to live off the land, help others always and appreciated nature.
Richard made many friends. He was loved by all and will be forever missed.
The family is honoring his wishes to be buried in Roswell, New Mexico at the General Douglas L. McBride Veterans Cemetery, located within the South Park Cemetery. Services will be at 11:00 am, Tuesday, November 28, 2017. Flowers may be sent to Ballard Funeral Home.
